Blephasteam is a CE marked medically approved eyelid-warming that helps relieve symptoms of MGD and associated eye diseases such as posterior blepharitis, meibomitis, ocular rosacea, chalazion, contact lens intolerance and dry eye.
Research has shown that by unblocking the meibomian glands, tear quality is improved, which has positive benefits for comfort, vision and eye health. This product has been designed in collaboration with eye care specialists, Blephasteam is based on scientific studies that suggest daily application of heat and humidity has a beneficial effect on various MGD conditions.
Unlike some alternative eyelid warming devices, such as hot compresses, Blephasteam is electronically controlled to maintain a stable heat for the entire duration of treatment.

HOW TO USE
Blephasteam should be used twice a day, unless otherwise recommended by an eye care professional. At least 4 hours should be allowed between sessions.
Blephasteam is easy to use:
- Blephasteam goggle operates from a docking station via a USB . It needs to preheat for only 3/4 minutes before use.
- Sessions are 10 minutes long. Blephasteam goggles allows for clear vision during the session so the patient can carry out normal activities.
- For a complete treatment, the eyelids should be massaged and cleaned with a cleansing wipe or pad.

Blephasteam must not be used whilst wearing contact lenses.

I recently purchased the Blephasteam Goggles 2nd Generation to help manage dry eyes and chalazion. I am really enjoying the effects. The new goggles are more user friendly than the last model – heating times are quicker, you can move around while wearing the device and there is no need to regularly purchase replacement rings.
While it may seem expensive, for me it was definitely worth the investment as I can notice improvements to my eyes immediately after use. The 10 minutes spent using the device is very relaxing and I now look forward to my daily steam goggles sessions!

I’m really happy to have buy it because the heat is more important and it’s a good news for my glands. The mask is really convenient because you can walk with it and doing all your activities during the sessions.
My only regret is that you can only take session during 10 minutes and not more but for the rest it’s really great.

I purchased the BlephaSteam 2nd Generation from OpticalRooms recently. The level of help and service from OpticalRooms was second to none. And the kind follow up after to check on my thoughts and opinions of the device itself has been much appreciated.
The BlephaSteam itself is a big step up from using warm compresses. It is very user friendly and easy to use. I now am treating my eyes more often than I did before because now I can still watch tv for example and move around during treatment. The treatment is gentle and pleasant and really seems to be much better than the warm compresses.
While the device is expensive, in my opinion it is well well worth it and I would encourage anyone with dry eyes to give it a shot. You won’t regret it.

Ayant le premier modèle depuis quelques années j’ai voulu acheter le blephasteam 2eme génération. Excellent produit. Le fait que les lunettes soient plus larges facilite les clignements oculaires pendant la session.. Il faut laisser la station branchée en permanence sinon les lunettes se remettent en charge pour une durée variable (10 minutes à 1 heure). Excellent service client. Je recommande le produit et ce vendeur.

I was recommended to buy the goggles by my opthalmic surgeon in the UK. However, it was out of stock at the main suppliers in England. Fortunately I was able to.buy them from OpticalRooms, who were very efficient competent and provided valuable advice. Their set-up video was most useful.
I have had the goggles for just under a week. They are easy to use. They provide relief for my MGD-induced dry eyes for several hours. OpticalRooms tell me that the benefits are cumulative, so fingers crossed.
Thankfully I no longer have to rely on microwave-heated eye masks, where the temperature rapidly decline.
While wearing the Blephasteam goggles, the effect is most soothing. I would definitely recommend the goggles.
